Connecting Martin M1 console to Vision

There are a few things you need to know in order to properly configure the Martin M1 Console for it to work properly with ESP Vision.

This discussion is valid for the following configurations:

Martin M1 Console to Vision 3.0 MAC
Martin M1 Console to Vision 2.3 PC

CONFIGURE THE NETWORK:
To begin, make sure that the IP addresses assigned to the 2 computers are on the same subnet. What this means, is that you must establish a valid TCP/IP connection between the 2 computers for Artnet to work. Here is a sample that will work:

Martin M1 Console (automatically set by console):
IP Address: 2.186.2.66
Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0

ESP Vision machine (manually set to match console):
IP Address: 2.186.2.99
Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0

It is very important that the Console and Vision machine both be on the same IP subnet AND the Subnet Mask MUST BE 255.0.0.0. Any other value in the Subnet Mask will cause the connection to be intermittent and fail.

Please verify results

Hi all aj and discussed this the other day. I was at 4wall with the Martin m1 for the first time. When i got all the patching worked out I went through the check and nothing happened. Tried it with different ip settings and the subnet net in couple of different configurations i found this to work. the computer could see data in art net diag art net diag seeing it but the dmx view did not. I finally took a look at the posting for Maxxyz console. after i made the adjustment, everything clicked in. best to you.

I am currently researching different console and how they connect to vision.
been through ion and ma and now the m1. i think next ill try the hog full boar or a gio or maybe even avolites.
